Guarujá City Hall-SP signs an agreement of more than R$ 200 million for infrastructure works

As part of the program of the Santo Amaro Day – Patron of Guarujá, celebrated on Tuesday (15), Mayor Válter Suman signed an agreement with Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) on October 18 in the amount of R $ 214 million , resources destined to housing, road and macro-drainage infrastructure works in the Rio do Meio (Santa Rosa) and Rio Santo Amaro (Santo Antônio) basins. The ceremony will be held in the meeting room of the Mayor’s Office, at Moacir dos Santos Filho City Hall, starting at 11 am.

The total of resources encompasses three agreements. The first one, in the amount of just over R $ 63 million, through Financing to Infrastructure and Sanitation (Finisa), will be destined to housing projects, among them those of Parque da Montanha, whose housing production, contracted at the end of last year, should start at the beginning of this year.

Another agreement, worth just over R $ 77 million, also through Finisa, goes to investments in the macro-drainage of the Rio do Meio (Santa Rosa) Basin and in the road infrastructure in the Santa Rosa, Helena Maria, Vila Lygia and Las Palmas.

The third agreement that is part of this package is part of the program Avançar Cidades, from the Ministry of Cities, which also allocates a little more than R $ 77 million (R $ 3.88 million from the Municipality) for the macro drainage of the Santo Amaro River Basin , in the Santo Antônio neighborhood.

Technical visit

Also on the 18th, as part of the Patron’s program, the mayor and his staff from the Department of Housing will make a technical visit to the recovery of the housing production works of Parque da Montanha, located on Avenida Raphael Vitiello, Vila Edna. The visit will be at 1:00 p.m.

It is worth mentioning that the works of the Mountain Park, referring to the infrastructure part, were resumed at the beginning of last year and follow at normal pace. Actions include the installation of the entire drainage, sewer and lighting structure. After this stage, the works will be aimed at recovering more than 500 units already built in the first phase, so that soon they can receive their first inhabitants.

The work is part of the third phase of the Favela Porto Cidade Project, the Municipal Housing Secretariat (Sehab), and receives funding from the Federal Government’s Growth Acceleration Program (PAC I). In total, there will be 1,962 new units, which will house families from Prainha and Sítio Conceiçãozinha, in Vicente de Carvalho.
